The Knowledge Manager will operationalize the business line’s strategic plans and meet defined goals, milestones, and deliverables. This person will works with all levels of the organization to collect and properly catalogue content; develop and provide training on Knowledge Management System use; define processes for creating, organizing, applying and transferring knowledge; guide the development of technology, solutions and systems used to connect people to the knowledge (tacit and explicit) of the organization, to facilitate improved access to knowledge and decision making.
This position will be primarily remote/virtual and can be based from a variety of locations in the US, Canada, or Europe, not limited to those listed.
Establish and maintain Knowledge Bank of Global Program case studies, examples, best practices and lessons learned that cross the entire lifecycle and cover the business line’s breadth of services
Build communities of practice that attract and engage all levels of program management staff
Design and deliver capacity development, coaching, and mentoring activities across the program management spectrum
Develop problem solving and innovation events for communities of practice tiger teams
Create a user experience that enables people to collaborate, share, create and use knowledge
Establish knowledge management processes to capture tacit and explicit knowledge from within and outside AECOM’s ecosystem
Establish and implement governance to continuously improve knowledge management system
Connect users to subject matter experts who can provide insights about the knowledge
Actively engage in the organizational development of the Global Program Management business line
Provide ideas for management and operational improvement of the Leadership Institute
Identify resources for staff in program planning, implementation and close out
Help create opportunities for career growth within program management
Interact with Data Analyst, Market Knowledge, and Strategy leads to stay abreast of new program opportunities to transform the program management industry
Apply adult learning techniques to develop training, user experiences, and replication of best practices
Support document and knowledge transfer
Track significant program issues, risks, and trends
Work with the Data Analyst and other Program leads to collect, synthesize, and disseminate data on program performance and performance improvement opportunities

Approachable: You remain pleasant under stress and look for solutions. You like to engage with all levels of the organization.
Articulate: You explain complex concepts in layman’s language with all levels of the organization and generate enthusiasm to increase use and adoption of Knowledge Management System.
- BA/BS plus 8 years of relevant knowledge / information management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Team or project leadership experience within a large, global, matrixed organization
Experience in the think tank, construction, engineering, and/or infrastructure industries is a plus
Experience with Office 365
Experience with virtual meeting tools and strong presentation skills
Training and/or development experience
