Position Title Mechanical Revit Designer
Canada - British Columbia
The Water Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Mechanical Revit Designer for immediate employment in the Burnaby, BC office. The appropriately qualified candidate will have an understanding of mechanical engineering technology related to municipal infrastructure using Revit and AutoCAD. She/he will be expected to work within a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with other project team members and customers. He/she will have a high level of initiative, motivation, and displays drive, energy and enthusiasm for getting things done. The appropriately qualified candidate will be expected to support in the delivery of infrastructure to customers primarily within the municipal water, wastewater and stormwater sector.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Design for municipal infrastructure including pump stations, water and wastewater treatment plants using Revit and AutoCAD
Prepare 3D perspective using InfraWorks from Revit models
Ensuring overall data quality and integrity
Prepare process mechanical detailed design drawings
Prepare documentation for design projects and reports
Undertake quality control procedures
Assures that engineering related issues are promptly relayed to the Project Manager for action and follows up to assure timeliness of resolution efforts
Diploma / Certificate in Revit BIM CAD drafting (or equivalent)
5+years of related experience in municipal process mechanical drafting and CAD/BIM
Experience working with REVIT 2014 and AutoCAD Version 14
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors and clients
Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environment
Comfortable using many of Revit’s capabilities such as:
Structural, architectural, and MEP modelling tools
Central and Local Files
Family modification and creation
Template and filter creation
Certified or eligible for certification in AScT as a member of the Applied Science Technologists & Technicians of British Columbia
Experience using Autodesk Navisworks 2014 or higher for project clash detection, and co-ordination
Working knowledge of InfraWorks for preparing perspective illustrations would be an additional asset
Working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D would be an additional asset
Good time management skills
