AECOM is looking for an Environmental Project Manager to join our assessment and remediation team in our Burnaby office . We are looking for candidates that are enthusiastic, team oriented professionals with a strong technical background. In this role, you will work with our experienced team of remediation professionals on various projects with mining, waste management, oil and gas, industrial, municipal, provincial and federal clients. This is a full-time role.
Responsibilities for this position include:
Exhibiting personal safety leadership in the oversight and execution of all work.
Development and management of client-facing relationships.
Providing leadership and project manager expertise in support of ongoing AECOM assessment and remediation projects, including the review of work scopes and client deliverables
Accountability for project performance and compliance with project delivery expectations
Demonstrating creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual project delivery and technical problems.
Development of strategic proposals and budgets in support of work opportunities.
Regularly communicate with regulators, clients, and other AECOM technical staff/project managers
Minimum Requirements :
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering (Civil, Chemical, Environmental etc.) or sciences discipline: Environmental Sciences, etc.
- 4 years of experience in remediation and/ or reclamation projects.
4+ years of experience coordinating Phase I, II and III Environmental Site Assessments and Remediation.
4+ years of project management experience.
Valid Driver's License
7 or more years of relevant experience
Professional Engineer, Geologist or Agrologist registered in BC
Working knowledge of BC ENV and CSR regulations
Experience with Regulatory Applications and Documentation in BC
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Strong client management skills
Demonstrated effectiveness in building working relationships and participating in multidiscipline teams
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel and Word
Can-do, positive attitude and an ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
