Job Summary

AECOM is currently seeking Bid Manager for Bristol location.

The core responsibilities of the role: -

  • Lead the production of bids & tender responses for the Bristol office.

  • Lead priority bids for the South West & Wales Region.

  • Lead key bids for UK&I Market Sectors from pre-positioning to submission.

  • Arrange Marketing / BD events.

  • Provide a market facing role within the Bristol office and across the South West & Wales Region

  • Monitor pipeline and ensure priority bids are resourced appropriately across the SW & Wales Region.

  • Drive best practice and continuous improvement across bid teams in the SW & Wales Region.

  • Lead an effective bid team through all stages, from win strategy development to proposal submission and debrief sessions

  • Work alongside Market Sector Leaders to pre-position for, and execute, priority bids.

  • Help to instil a culture where others share knowledge, insights and learning.

  • Help to up-skill bid team members and promote the use of AECOM’s work winning processes and tools.

  • Monitor bid portals for opportunities & communicate to relevant parties.

  • Maintain a library of Regional CVs; Project Data Sheets and Capability Statements.

  • Maintain a central bank of feedback and lessons learnt from successful and unsuccessful bids.

  • Coordinate data necessary to support client development plans, client relationships, business-to-business meetings etc.

  • Coordinate of guest lists for attendance at industry functions.

  • Coordinate data & reporting for Salesforce.

  • Act as a Salesforce champion, leading regular reviews of data accuracy and quality.

Minimum Requirements

Skills / Experience:

  • Knowledge and experience of the preparation of tender documents and understanding of the requirements for quality presentations to support tenders.

  • Knowledge of Word, Excel and InDesign publishing software.

  • Team player with excellent communication skills.

  • Motivated and can manage their own time and continuously seeks ways to improve and add value.

  • Has knowledge of the construction industry - or experience within a project based organisation.

  • Educated to A Levels as a minimum
