AECOM Study Manager - Mining in Brisbane, Australia

Due to a variety of recent project wins, AECOM’s Resources, Power & Industry Design Team in Brisbane has an opportunity for a Study Manager to join our team, working alongside a multidisciplinary team of specialists. This role will see you leading client-side, complex projects, delivering projects for key mining and industrial sector clients across all stages of the project lifecycle from scoping, pre-feasibility, through to definition and into execution phase.
As part of your role, you will be given the opportunity to take full accountability across the quality, budget, schedule and risk management of projects of various sizes and complexities. You will coordinate between numerous internal and external stakeholders whilst leading internal teams, enabling you to continue to develop your technical and people management skills.
To succeed in this role, you will possess strong skills in the areas of business development, ideally with already established relationships with key clients in the mining sector. You will have experience responding to Requests for Tender and Expressions of Interest with a history of bidding and winning work.
10 - 15 years’ relevant work experience preferably client side or as a consultant delivering study projects for mining clients;
Strong leadership and communication skills;
Proven ability of delivering multi-discipline projects and studies;
Client focused and able to foster long term key client relationships leading to repeat work.
Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as Project Management or Engineering;
Candidates with post graduate studies in Project or Business Management or holding Chartered Professional Engineering (CP Eng) status would be highly regarded.
