Job Summary

The role as Facilities Assistant within the Real estate and Facilities team provides professional support to all AECOM employees and clients. In this role you will need to have the ability to manage many tasks at one time and provide strong support to all areas of the business and wider Facilities team. Operating out the Facilities Service centre you will work with your colleagues to ensure we provide a client focused facilities concierge service to the wider business; your duties will include the induction of new starters, issuing of access cards, assisting with reception, inspection and servicing of pooled fleet vehicles, event setup and coordination where required.

In this role you will take pleasure in dealing with internal and external clients as well as external vendors. You will take pride in maintaining shared facilities such as meeting room spaces, print and utility areas as well as general presentation and maintenance of the office. The facilities assistant role is required to take a proactive approach to general administration tasks including opening and distributing incoming & outgoing mail; coordination of all couriers and deliveries, assistance and training where required to staff on print and finishing equipment as well as distributing stationary and shared resources.

Minimum Requirements

  • Previous experience in a corporate facilities team within a medium to large professional company

  • Excellent customer service skills with a Client focus (both internal and external clients)

  • Effective time management and prioritising skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to facilitate and coordinate a mail room

  • Sound skills in Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word & Excel

  • Sound skills in printing equipment including but not limited to binders, MFD, plotters, guillotine and scanners.
