AECOM SharePoint Professional in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated and creative SharePoint Professional for immediate employment. The successful candidate will contribute to the activity of the SharePoint specific projects. The responsibilities of this role include troubleshooting site issues, collaborating with SharePoint developers, and analyzing all user activity. The SharePoint professional will also provide support and guidance for AECOM’s SharePoint users, ensure SharePoint functionality, update the software as necessary, and address and resolve any issues with software performance. This person can sit in any of our New England offices- NH, RI, MA, ME and/or CT.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Create new sites as required. Decommission sites as required

  • Some local travel to the regions offices maybe required

  • Sites can be internal to AECOM or directly for Clients

  • Good Client interaction skills required

  • Monitors SharePoint project software to ensure stability and resilience

  • Troubleshoots issues promptly

  • Monitors progress and encourages users to use the site

  • Customizes SharePoint site for client requirements

  • Analyzes daily user activity on SharePoint

  • Maintains records of SharePoint updates, maintenance, and activity

  • Reports to company management with updates and information about SharePoint use

  • Provides technical support for SharePoint users

  • Trains staff in the use of the site

  • Addresses questions or concerns from business owners or directors regarding the function of the software

  • Keeps apprised of Microsoft updates to SharePoint software

  • Applies updates to company’s edition of SharePoint as necessary

  • Collaborates with infrastructure support team to maintain SharePoint security

  • Holds training and informational sessions to teach employees how to use SharePoint

  • Consults with management to devise the most useful ways to apply SharePoint to a business’s goals

  • Provides innovation by identifying and recommending new services or applications

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS plus 2 years or more of using SharePoint on Transportation Projects
