AECOM Risk Management Associate in Boston, Massachusetts

Aecom is seeking a Risk Management Associate for immediate employment. This person can be located in NYC or Boston. In this role you will act as an advisor for projects in the area of Risk Management, including but not limited to: when/how to do a formal risk assessment, develop and organize risk mitigation plans and develop tracking mechanisms to controls effectiveness of risk management. Some of the responsibilities include;
Develop project specific risk management plans,
Organize and facilitate risk mitigation meetings,
Develop ad hoc risk communiques supporting decision points in the project,
Review project document, analyze project data and develop risk registers,
Conduct constructability reviews, schedule critical reviews, and scrutinize cost estimates, understanding areas of uncertainty,
Schedule and conduct risk interviews and support facilitation of risk workshops,
Develop quantitative integrated cost and schedule risk models, analyze results,
Prepare risk communications (memos), risk assessment reports, and document risk mitigation strategies,
Work with project team on risk allocation and risk transfer mechanisms through either design specifications or language in the procurement documents,
Prepare risk assessment presentations and prepare presentations of the project’s risk profile.
Work as advisor to Project Managers,
Work collaboratively with risk management team, involving and engaging risk analyst and supporting decisions of the risk manager,
Engage a team approach to tasks and consult subject matter experts as needed,
Create reports and presentations in both Excel and PowerPoint, and perform various analytic tasks to support strategy, business / financial planning, and operations,
Conduct research and analysis, prepare reports and make recommendations based on findings.
Bachelors Degree plus 4 years of related experience. Understanding of the engineering and construction industry and programs/projects life cycle with experience in the construction field and project management related duties.
Understanding of construction management fundamentals, project scheduling, cost estimating and project controls.
Strong analytics and use of MS Office is necessary.
Strong mathematical background, especially in the areas of probability and statistics (random variables, probability distributions, correlation, etc.).
Strong oral and written communication skills.
M.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or related field.
M.B.A. or Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or related field preferred.
Familiarity with Monte Carlo simulation and any experience with applicable software, such as @Risk, P6 Risk Analyzer, Crystal Ball is a plus.
