AECOM Offshore Wind Energy/Marine Permitting Technical Leader/Sr. PM in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Summary

AECOM has an immediate need for two Offshore Wind Energy / Marine Permitting Technical Leaders /Senior Project Managers. This position requires a strong, technical background in marine / offshore setting along with demonstrated project management skills leading teams.

Additional responsibilities may include one or more of the following

  • Manages the most complex and sensitive projects, often in multiple geographic locations. Many projects assigned are distinguished by their magnitude or program complexity, requiring that more than one person be involved.

  • Proactively identifies potential program problems or opportunities, analyzes the issues using all appropriate resources, develops alternatives and arrives at the most optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities.

  • Authority to act independently or as a team leader representing IE with consulting firms and is responsible for ensuring that the final product of the project or program team reflects the original scope and budget requirements.

Minimum Requirements

  • BS in Marine Science/Engineering or related

  • A minimum of 8+ years of professional experience with a pattern of progressive achievements

  • Strong technical background in marine/offshore setting

  • Demonstrated successful project management skills, especially leading teams

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills required along with public presentation skills required.

  • Candidate must be open to being located in the Northeast USA.

  • Applied knowledge of offshore biological, physical, and cultural resources are important

  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree Marine Science/Engineering or related background

  • 15+ years of relevant experience

  • Some Business Development experience
