AECOM Marine Operations Specialist in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Marine Operations Specialist in our New England Marine Services Center. This position is currently for an on-call (as needed) role and may evolve to a part time fixed role.

Minimum Requirements

  • BS degree, preferably in environmental science, marine science or natural resources

  • 6+ years’ experience in on-water operations supporting navigation, vessel logistics, on water marine environmental sampling and monitoring and expertise in onboard vessel operations in a nearshore and offshore setting.

  • Strong communications skills, preparation of written reports and working within a team environment required.

  • Ability to work both on vessels and in port, supporting a wide range of activities during project execution important.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years relevant experience is preferred

  • Prior experience working for the US Coast Guard and MARAD Regulations preferred.

  • Prior experience supporting project permitting for BOEM (Offshore Wind) and Oil and Gas Projects highly desirable.

  • Prior experience as a USCG licensed Captain highly desirable
