Job Summary

AECOM are recruiting for an experienced Procurement Manager to join its team in Birmingham who will work closely with the Managing Director Procurement across EMIA to assist with the planning, management and transactional delivery of Procurement projects across the Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EMIA) region.

Responsibilities Include;

Lifecycle management of supplier relationships to achieve key commercial outcomes from placement to contract expiry. Development, release and monitoring of relationships using SLAs and KPIs

Ensure supplier databases are maintained for the region and updated to reflect changes in supplier relationships

Ensure all contracts adhere to a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) model

Ensure all recommendations include key financial metrics

Analyse and effectively use financial spend data to increase leveraged relationships

Where appropriate, takes responsibility for the professional development of other team members

Lead, encourage and motivate other team members so they reach their full potential

Ensure compliance with Procurement and corporate procedures

Contract negotiation whilst understanding the balance between price point and value to business

Ensure business objectives are met along with developing sustainable relationships

Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning, analyses and determines opportunities to leverage and consolidates the supply base

Minimum Requirements

To be successful in this role we would like to hear from candidates with the following;

  • Experience in Procurement category methodology

  • Construction experience preferable but not essential

  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, theories and processes

  • Proven ability to organize, influence and motivate others

  • Able to ensure procurement spend is accurately reported and appropriate KPI’s are in place

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, report writing, development of proposals, presentations

  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills

  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and the ability to develop relationships

  • A strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn and a desire to work in a dynamic deadline driven team environment

  • Financial analysis of company spends, to find opportunities for improvement of service and cost reduction

  • Achievement towards goals

  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite

  • Competent in the knowledge of systems such as Oracle
