Position Title Associate Project Manager

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Associate Project Manager for immediate employment based in Benicia, CA. This position will be responsible for the installation, construction, maintenance, and repair of various underground infrastructure ranging from water, wastewater, energy, and communication throughout the Northern California region. Tasks could involve design services, drilling, excavating, locating, and installing of utilities, and other duties as determined by the needs of the project. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Responsible for the full, safe, quality and efficient delivery of projects
Plans, directs, and supervises all operations for assigned project(s)
Manage cost and schedule for assigned project(s)
Report out as required on project health
Manage crews via the project superintendent to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently and with quality
Ensure all field and office-based reporting is accurate and timely
Provide guidance and mentorship to assistant project managers
Other duties as assigned
5+ years of related experience, including project management for multiple construction, engineering, and/or architecture projects; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Self-motivated with a strong desire to continuously improve technical skills and quality
Available for work/travel outside normal office hours & inter-departments, as required
Ability to work well under pressure with an organized approach to managing tasks, time and workload
Display strong attention to detail with the ability to research & review documents and draw conclusions to support recommendations
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and SharePoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate efficiently with staff members, client, field crews, and customers
Ability to lead and resolve issues proactively and work in a fast-paced, often-changing environment
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related field preferred
Construction, Engineering, or Architecture field experience preferred
PMP certification preferred
