Position Title Outreach Coordinator

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Outreach Coordinator for immediate employment for a project in Baton Rouge, LA. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.
These Outreach Coordinators will ‘sell’ to commuters the idea of carpooling and taking other alternative modes to work.
Coordinators will contact local worksites, encourage them to join a program and to actively participate.
At each worksite, Coordinator will meet with employees, register them in the carpool system, encourage more carpooling, and entice participation with prizes.
Performs a range of transportation demand management, marketing, and planning-related tasks, aimed at enhancing opportunities for individual travelers, commuters, and/or students to utilize non-drive-alone means of transportation, including carpooling, vanpooling, public transit, bicycling, walking, teleworking, and other options.
Develop, promote, and/or implement a range of worksite and/or schools-based operational programs aimed at improving business operations and/or reducing on-site pollutants, to improve overall air quality and mitigate traffic congestion.
Provides TDM services to employers, schools, travelers, students, and others.
Summarizes TDM information and prepares draft presentations and papers or research reports.
Using prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced TDM professional.
Assignments usually include one or more of the following: TDM outreach, or public relations and other activities of limited scope requiring knowledge of TDM principles and techniques commonly utilized.
Utilize sales techniques’ to grow partner base.
Host worksite TDM events to promote the programs goals.
Uses Salesforce to manage outreach activities.
General office environment; will require visits to project sites.
Some heavy lifting (<30 lbs) may be required –to set up events at worksites.
Field office work will require reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a good driving record.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not absolutely critical.
3+ years' experience.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Must be very energetic and good at marketing.
Must have experience in handling multiple tasks in an organized and efficient manner.
Must have current valid driver’s license.
Familiar with the community of Baton Rouge very well.
Experience using Microsoft office including (Word, excel, and outlook).
Strong attention to detail.
Have good time management skills.
Should be a team player.
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.
Experience in fund raising, lobbying, and public speaking will be very beneficial.
Experience with Salesforce is preferred.
Having a strong network and being active in community organizations events is a big plus.
