Job Summary

AECOM are continuing to expand their successful and established Design Delivery team in India and have an immediate vacancy in their Global Design Centre, Bangalore, India Office.

  • The AECOM Global Design Centre team has an established track record of successfully delivering high profile development schemes, offering staff the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting International projects.

  • The India C&I GDC has multi-disciplinary capability is being offered to our wide range of existing clients which includes developers, public & private sector authorities, corporate entities primarily in the UK, US & Middle East.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing 2D and 3D CAD drawings to support wet utilities - civil infrastructure pipe network activities for the design delivery team.

  • Our Design Delivery Engineering team currently has a vacancy for a suitably qualified and enthusiastic CAD Designer/Technician with minimum experience of such development engineering projects. Typical duties will include the technical drafting | modelling of pipe network /utilities design detailed engineering technical plans, profiles for industrial, commercial and public infrastructure developments using AutoCAD 2D and 3D.

  • This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and technically minded CAD Designer/Engineer to join Aecom GDC (Global Design Centre), Bangalore. India. This would be an ideal opening for a Junior level of experienced CAD Designer/Engineer who has exposure/already worked with in the pipe network design outputs/drawings production and delivery tasks.

  • The successful candidate will be highly organised and able to manage his own time and tasks efficiently.

Minimum Requirements

3 Years Diploma in Civil Engineering | Degree | Equivalent in experience.

  • 3 to 4 years of working experience with similar organization/competitor, having considerable involvement in creating/addressing tasks of utilities/road drainage/pipe network related plan, sections, services drawings.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (latest versions & its tool sets) and Civil 3D

  • Good English communication skills.

  • Awareness of utilities basic representation/exhibit ideas of network & corridor plans, scheme plans, utilities plans.

  • Awareness of relevant common drawings series for all stages, Xref, view & scale concepts, exhibit methods.

  • Very good knowledge in annotations, dimensioning, line types, layers & filtering, blocks & attributes etc.

  • Very good knowledge in 2D and 3D concepts, isometric views, sections, profiles, scales etc.

  • Working knowledge of CDE platform (Common Data Environment) i.e. ProjectWise, BIM360, Viewpoint etc.

  • Good team player.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Micro station exposure.

  • Scheme plans & coloured presentation skills.

  • Basic idea of running script programmes, routines, minor lisp editing capabilities.

  • Basic BIM aspects / inter disciplinary review / plotting ideas.

  • Knowledge of AutoTrack or Vehicle Tracking tools/drafting.

  • Awareness of hydraulic design Tools and its outputs ( Shape files from Sewer GEMS/Water GEMS, Civil 3D etc.).

  • Awareness of Quality aspects (registers, index logs, QC process and drawings transmittal's).

  • Able to work efficiently and meet required deadlines by following relevant CAD manuals/standards & practices.
