AECOM Field Supervisor in Bakersfield, California

AECOM is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented and high-energized Field Manager.
Provides technical oversight of subcontractor field teams performing fieldwork related to remedial construction and pipeline abandonment activities.
Provides guidance and direction to subcontractors when addressing complex project problems with respect to health and safety, scope of work tasks, schedule and regulatory compliance.
Assists the Sr. Construction Manager with managing all aspects of the fieldwork, including health and safety, data gathering, data reporting and internal communications with subcontractors and project manager.
Makes fieldwork decisions in accordance with established project plans, scope of work and subcontractor agreements.
Monitor and record fieldwork tasks completed, equipment onsite, subcontractor staff onsite, visitors onsite and sampling and permitting compliance.
Generate weekly and daily progress reports noting percent work complete, changes in scope of work, and/or fieldwork delays.
Assists with development of weekly work schedules and subcontractor resource assignments.
Implement changes to project schedules to ensure compliance with planned work activities, timelines, and completion of major milestones.
Monitor and coordinate with other project team members on scoping and executing fieldwork tasks.
Performs operation and maintenance activities on remedial treatment systems.
Perform fields sampling of soil, groundwater, and vapors in accordance to project requirements.
Performs project scoping site visits to develop bid packages.
BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Valid U.S. Driver's License
Must be able to work in the field without restriction.
Two year experience of mechanical, construction, pipeline or operation and maintenance or equivalent technical field preferred.
Strong understanding of the construction industry regulatory framework and health and safety protocols, procedures and reporting requirements.
Solid written, oral, and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to follow documentation procedures.
Self-starter and able to drive project task forward with minimal supervision.
Leadership skills and work well in a team environment.
40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations (HAZWOPER) training and/or have current 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher training.
8-hr HAZWOPER Supervisor training.
