AECOM has an exciting opportunity in Afghanistan on the Afghanistan - EAGLE contract for a
Master Driver Trainer.
Ensures all drivers training conforms to most current industry / Military standards. Issues and renews all military drivers’ licenses (DA Form 5984-E). Trains and evaluates personnel on the operation of all NTVs, GFE and Military vehicles currently used by the Army in Afghanistan and all heavy equipment such as cranes, heavy loaders, bull dozers, tankers, and RTCHs. Maintains and updates employees’ DA Form 348. Ensure strict compliance to safety practices and support the AC FIRST Safety Policies and Procedures. Instills a safety first environment within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries. Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of the AC FIRST Quality Management System. Performs other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
5 years’ experience safely operating NTVs, Military vehicles, and MHE required.
3 years of training experience required.
Work experience may be substituted for educational requirements and/or educational achievements may be substituted for years of experience. Example: Two (2) years of experience is equivalent to (2) years of college and vice versa.
NACI /Tier 1 for US Citizens and PCC for Non US Citizens
Unit Master Driver Trainer (UMDT) Certificate from an accredited agency required.
Must have valid Driver’s license required and endorsements to drive heavy vehicles
Must be able to obtain a 5984-E Army standard license upon arrival.
Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to interact with all levels of workers.
Proficient in the use of MS Office 2007 integrated software such as MS Word, Excel and Power point.
Must have the English language speaking ability to speak the language with sufficient structural accuracy and vocabulary to participate effectively in most formal and informal conversations on practical, social, and professional topics. Must be able to read standard newspaper items addressed to the general reader, routine correspondence, reports, and technical materials in the individual's special field.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
