AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Traffic Engineer in Austin, Texas. Job responsibilities include:
Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team
Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
BA/BS + 6 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills
Minimum of 10 years’ experience conducting traffic studies and IAJRs
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required
Registered PE in Texas is a requirement, or ability to obtain licensure in 6 months
Strong understanding of FHWA IAJR guidelines/requirements
Strong understanding of traffic modeling techniques and micro-simulation software, including Synchro and Vissim
Understanding of macrosimulation and travel demand modeling techniques and software
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage subconsultant teams
Ability to lead tasks and direct younger staff
Work in a collaborative manner. Serves on a project team.
Willingness to cross train and learn other disciplines
Exercises quality control procedures
TxDOT project experience preferred
