Job Summary
Have you started your Health & Safety Career and are looking for a new industry to promote zero harm? AECOM is looking for a junior SH&E Coordinator to work within a small, vibrant team to provide SH&E support and deliver solutions. This is a role which offers career advancement in the SH&E sector and would suit someone looking to develop their SH&E expertise in a supportive environment.
Day to day responsibilities will include;
Coordinating internal SH&E programmes including safety training, medical surveillance, emergency response, worker participation and related programmes.
Maintaining records and support actions relating to risk management, incident reporting and investigations, reward and recognition, auditing, client bench-marking and document control.
Managing and supporting AECOM’s external certifications.
Completing client pre-qualifications and providing supporting materials for bids and proposals.
Coordinating AECOM’s early return to work programme.
Completing workstation assessments and organising external ergonomic assessments.
Developing and distributing communications relating to SH&E.
Contributing to a positive safety culture and working environment through being responsive, timely and effective in all interactions and communications.
Working closely with the SH&E Manager - NZ to develop and implement continuous improvement in AECOM’s safety management system.
Minimum Requirements
We are seeking an experienced safety professional who is able to demonstrate;
Highly Desirable
Experience in a health and safety administration / coordination role
Relevant health and safety qualification i.e. National Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or similar
Minimum Requirements
A passion for health and safety and a personal commitment to zero harm
A broad understanding of the NZ regulatory environment as it relates to health and safety
Demonstrated knowledge of an integrated safety management system
The ability to prioritise and manage workload, whilst maintaining attention to detail
A systematic and well-organised work-style, including strong time and self-management skills
The ability to build relationships, communicate and influence all levels of the business
Experience in developing and/or implementing new health and safety procedures
Preferred Qualifications
Preferably hold a National Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
