Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Worksite Advisor for immediate employment in our Atlanta, GA office. In this position, you will be a member of the Georgia Commute Options team, which conduct’s education and outreach services for the region’s TDM program on behalf of the Atlanta Regional Commission. This program aims to reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality by encouraging metro Atlanta residents to use green, active transportation modes such as carpooling, public transportation and bicycling. This unique opportunity is well suited for individuals who have a passion for connecting with groups to educate them and gain their support for and participation in programs that have a positive impact on our environment and community.
In this position, you will be a member of the outreach team promoting commute options to individuals and organizations in the 19-county metro Atlanta region (with an emphasis along the I-75 North corridor that includes Kennesaw and Marietta). The regional TDM program aims to reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality by encouraging commuters to use green, active transportation modes such as carpooling, public transportation, teleworking and bicycling. As a Worksite Advisor, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with employer partners within your assigned territory. You will assist these partners with the development and implementation of worksite-specific commuter options programs that reduce drive-alone travel among employees. You will work in a fast paced team environment following a sales model with performance metrics.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Performs a range of transportation demand management, marketing and outreach tasks aimed at enhancing opportunities for individual travelers and commuters to utilize non-drive-alone means of transportation, including carpooling, vanpooling, public transit, bicycling, walking, teleworking, and other options
Develops, promotes, and/or implements a range of worksite operational programs aimed at improving business operations and increasing alternative mode use to improve overall air quality and mitigate traffic congestion
Creates new and manages existing partner/client relationships with employers and stakeholders
Conducts worksite assessments to guide the development and implementation of commuter programming
Assists with worksite/community-based TDM plans and guide the implementation of commuter options programs at employer sites (e.g. carpool, pre-tax transit benefits, compressed work weeks, bicycle programs, commute incentives)
Deepens existing employer partnerships through frequent contact and follow-up meetings, tracking program implementation and employee participation
Increases participation rates and program awareness among employees at partner locations
Generates new partnerships through cold calling, networking and referrals
Serves as a transportation resource for worksite partners and organizations within assigned territory
Conducts onsite events, promotions and marketing activities at partner sites to promote alternative mode use and register employees for regional programs and services
Attends local networking and public meetings
Conducts presentations for stakeholders, employers and commuters
Generates measurable results from employer or commuter participation in transportation-related modal promotions and incentive programs
Exceeds monthly/quarterly/annual performance metrics
Tracks employer relationships and activities over time, by utilizing SalesForce.com
Devises new approaches to challenges encountered
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience
3+ years of client management, business development, sales, marketing, outreach or other relevant business experience
Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills and experience in handling multiple tasks in an organized and efficient manner
Energetic, and articulate individual who has the communication skills and persuasiveness necessary to influence, motivate, and inform travelers in the use of travel options
Proven track record meeting job performance metrics
Ability to achieve objectives through teamwork
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft OS and CRM
General office environment; requires frequent visits to project sites
Some heavy lifting (<30 lbs) may be required
Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
Field office work will require reliable transportation
Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
