Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Mid-Level Landscape Architect for immediate employment in the Atlanta, GA office. AECOM is pleased to include you in a unique development opportunity. The role will be to provide technical construction and design experience oversight to the team.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepares planning documents, conceptual and schematic designs, construction details, construction documents, technical specifications and cost estimates for a wide variety of public and private sector projects

  • Performs field reviews and analysis of project sites and study areas and prepares written documentation of observations and conditions

  • Works under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member

  • Performs tasks with initial direction from staff and management

  • Assists senior staff with business development for the Transportation Department

  • Project types include but are not limited to; land planning, streetscape and complete street design/planning, park master planning and design, landscape beautification projects/gateway and trail design projects

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Landscape Architecture or Environmental Design required

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience

  • Must be self-driven, highly motivated and efficient at production work associated with construction documentation and presentation graphics

  • Have obtained Landscape Architecture Registration

  • Must be proficient in Adobe Suite Software, AutoCAD, Micro-Station experience

  • Strong technical/construction documentation skills

  • Ability to work with a collaborative team of multiple disciplines, convey thoughts and ideas in a clear and concise manner

  • Ability to learn new software quickly

  • Ability to organize data in an efficient and clear manner

  • Ability to learn through on-the-job experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • State of Georgia Registration is desired

  • Prior experience with trail and streetscape projects, using GDOT’s PDP process

  • Functional knowledge of ArcGIS software

  • Micro Station experience

  • Collaborative attitude and passion for the profession

  • LEED Accreditation is a plus
