We are actively seeking a talented Commissioning Agent for immediate employment in our Atlanta, Ga office.
The Commissioning Agent position will work with the commissioning team and lead project efforts through the various phases of design and construction projects to confirm that building systems are designed, installed, integrated and will operate to meet the Owner’s operational needs and the Engineers’ design intent. The position requires the ability to travel as needed based on project demands, normally from 25% to 50% of the time. Strong communication skills and an understanding of the design and construction processes are required for the interactions with the project and commissioning teams including owners, contractors, engineers, and architects. These interactions will include written communications, attendance in various meetings via teleconference or electronic means and in person, and organizing and running dedicated Commissioning meetings as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction-related field preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
Commissioning Certification preferred; (e.g. NEBB, ACG (CxA), BCxA, ASHRAE, etc.)
A minimum of 5 years of commissioning or related experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, automatic temperature control systems, and/or testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB).
Familiarity with MS Office suite of programs
Working knowledge of specialty programs such as AutoCAD, REVIT, Bluebeam, MS Project, Trane Trace or Carrier HAP, various vendor selection programs
- Various DDC controls systems is a plus
