Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Mechanical Engineer for immediate employment in the Arlington, VA office with project worksites in Puerto Rico and other locations. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The primary focus of the specialist will be to coordinate with assigned Recipients/Sub-Recipients throughout the Public Assistance (PA) grant delivery process for Puerto Rico. This role is integral to the implementation of the PA Program. This position facilitates and coordinates the effective, efficient, and accurate delivery of grant funding. This requires coordinating with the Sub-Recipient on recovery priorities, understanding their capabilities and capacity to develop projects, and participating in the validation of damage from site inspections through formulation through to the Exit Briefing. PACs are critical to Sub-Recipients and the early identification of special consideration issues and opportunities to avoid delays throughout the entire process.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 15+ years of professional engineering experience

  • PE registration

  • Previous FEMA PA experience

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written

  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
