The appropriately qualified candidates will need to be professional, self-motivated, resourceful and able to prioritize the successful execution of a wide-range of traffic engineering project-related tasks. The appropriately qualified applicant will need to clearly demonstrate their experience and knowledge of traffic engineering design services for DOTs and public agencies.
Assists the Environmental Compliance Manager and Environmental Team in keeping all aspects of the project in compliance with all commitments of the Supplemental Final Environmental Impact Statement/Record of Decision, all conditions of all permits and approvals, and all environmentally-related portions of the technical provisions and contract documents. The includes maintaining the existing permits, obtaining new permits as needed, reviewing design documents for environmental compliance, and compliance inspections in the field during construction.
Assist with maintaining the existing permits and other permit coordinating duties
Assist with maintaining the Environmental Management plan for the project
Review design plans to ensure compliance with all commitments.
Conduct environmental compliance audits and inspections under the supervision of the Environmental Compliance Manager
General compliance reports to document inspection findings and spreadsheet compliance
High School diploma or equivalent or equal from an accredited university or college where the candidate is a junior
0-2 years of related experience
Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software
Strong oral and written communication skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential; able to prioritize multiple task
Works well in team environment as well as independently
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to present and discuss technical content with clients, regulatory agency staff, and the public.
Must be highly self-motivated with the ability to successfully multi-task, perform detail oriented work, and demonstrate effective time management skills.
