Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Architectural Assessor for immediate employment in the Arlington, VA office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Knowledge of and experience with facility condition assessments

  • Knowledge of and experience with principles and practices of architectural systems, project prioritization, and building programming

  • Knowledge of and experience with decision-making procedures within an asset management program

  • Knowledge of and experience with preventative maintenance plans

  • Skill in leading and working with project teams

  • Skill in investigation, research, and analysis

  • Skill in creative problem solving

  • Skill in written and oral communication, including the ability to describe architectural systems

  • Ability to effectively manage and resolve conflicts between individuals/groups with differing interests

  • Experience with diverse building types and construction materials and methods

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at one time

  • Ability to effectively communicate within project teams and client stakeholders

  • Some travel may be required

  • Knowledge of ADA Guidelines

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering or a related area

  • 5+ years of experience

  • Motivated, excellent written/oral communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

  • Experience coordinating with the field team, performing site surveys, and completing site observations

  • Ability to work with, interpret, and apply National and Local Codes; familiarity with IBC and NFPA

  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of REVIT and AutoCAD

  • Strong working knowledge of facility maintenance software including BUILDER, Tririga, Maximo, Dude Solutions

  • Knowledge of cost, schedule, and constructability of potential projects

  • Familiar with Codes of Practice and Design Standards

  • Federal experience, specifically with IDIQ, MSA, and BPA contracts

  • Experience with building facilities management
