AECOM is seeking for an experience Structural Engineer for immediate employment in our Arlington, VA office.
The reponsibilities include but are not limited to:
Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
Identifies discrepancies in results.
Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
4+ years of progressive experience designing and detailing Federal buildings
Licensed Professional Engineer.
Experience as lead structural engineer and / or experience managing staff or teams or groups.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other general structures software.
Experience providing reviews of other firms’ designs and calculations.
Due to the nature of the work, candidate must be a US Citizen.
Ability to get a Secret Security Clearance.
Master’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
10+ years of progressive experience designing and detailing and reviewing structural designs and calculations.
Experience as a lead structural engineer.
Active Security Clearance.
