AECOM Senior Cost Estimator in Arlington - VA, Virginia

Job Summary

The Building + Places Division of AECOM is actively seeking an Estimator for immediate employment at our office in Arlington, VA. This position is responsible for activities related to estimating all the elements of project cost, including labor, materials and permanent equipment, supplies, consumables and expenses, and construction equipment rental and operating costs, contingency, escalation and program risk, etc.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’ degree in engineering, architecture, or construction

  • 6+ years of experience

  • Must have an understanding of construction means, methods, and sequences

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, Requests-for Proposals and contracts

  • Due to the nature of the work, candidate must be a US Citizen

  • Must have a Top Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification with AACE, I; RISC, or ASPE is desired, but not required and a bonus for achieving certification within 6 months of hire date

  • Knowledge of MCACES/MII

  • Knowledge of Success Estimator

  • Knowledge of On-Screen-Takeoff or Oasis Takeoff

  • Ability to generate project construction schedules

  • Knowledge of MS Project and Primavera
