Job Summary

AECOM National Governments Business Line is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to be the Federal Market Sector Leader for our Southeast Region. This is a significant geography in our Design and Consulting Services unit for business development to drive growth in federal programs for architecture and engineering services, including buildings, civil infrastructure, environment, power, transportation, program management, and planning.

The regional Federal Market Sector Leader will be responsible for client relations, market analysis, strategy development, positioning, capture and management of key growth areas in the federal market within Southeastern US. This includes development and execution of actionable plans to achieve strategic objectives with Department of Defense, FEMA, EPA and other US government agencies.

The Southeast Federal Market Sector Leader will provide leadership across multiple business lines and build effective teams, inspire team performance, robustly communicate, and manage/drive growth and strategies to grow this program to a $350M/year target. They will be expected to demonstrate the passion, vision, and ability to plan, drive strategies and initiatives with others, and contribute positively and inspiring efforts on the national strategies and teamwork required in the National Governments business line. This position will report to the Regional Market Sector Leader of the National Governments Business Line in DCS Americas. In addition, this role will provide leadership across multiple business lines, and will directly interface with the Southeast Regional Executive and supporting regional function leaders (legal, accounting, finance, risk). Programs will be coordinated in collaboration with the Buildings and Places, Environmental, Water, Power, Transportation and PM/CM business lines as well as Management Services (i.e. Operations and Maintenance) and Construction Services.

While not a requirement, it is highly-desired that the candidate reside in the Southeastern US.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in architecture, engineering or other related discipline

  • 10+ years of experience working with US Federal government agencies on Architect-Engineering programs to include 4+ years in a leadership role

  • Travel required throughout the Southeast Region

  • Due to the nature of the role, US citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • 12+ years of related experience working for and with the US federal government in A/E services

  • 4+ years of experience in federal business development
