Job Summary

AECOM has an opening for an

Electrical Engineer supporting our program in Annapolis Junction, MD. This position will provide project integration support for numerous construction projects in addition to providing direct support to the client’s Power, Space, and Cooling (PSC) initiative. This individual will collect and analyze large amounts of PSC data. They will support all electrical aspects of facility oversight which includes the completion of an annual electrical baseline for more than 30 facilities. The individual will assist in the completion of urgent request assignments, Go-Look-See (GLS) surveys, power quality analysis, special metering requests, equipment failure root cause data collection and analysis, single line/elevation drawings, and energy efficiency studies. Information will be delivered to the client on a daily basis. This position is roughly 30% field work/70% office work and is primarily located around the Annapolis Junction area.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform a range of design development, analysis or review tasks under some supervision.

  • Design a portion or section of an analysis or design review.

  • Generate sections of design specifications of more complex projects or complete specifications of less complex projects.

  • Prepare, deliver and submit technical presentations for in process design and review meetings.

  • Establish and maintain a filing system or databases as needed for tracking project status.

  • Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.

  • Direct interface and liaison with customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.

  • Conduct site visits and investigate engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations.

  • Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.

  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • US Citizenship required.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, or related scientific field and at least 3 years of job-related experience or equivalent.

  • Good communications and analytical skills.

  • Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.

  • Position may require travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior DOD and CONUS Facilities experience is a strong plus.

  • Active, fully adjudicated TS clearance is preferred.

  • Professional licensed engineer (PE) in Electrical Engineering preferred but not required.
