AECOM Senior Security Duty Officer in Alice Springs, Australia

Job Summary

AECOM has an opening for a

Senior Security Duty Officer at our Alice Springs, Australia location. The selected candidate performs the lead position on shift while maintaining physical security of all classified areas 24/7. Other functions include the monitoring and controlling of personnel access to the classified areas, ensuring that all classified material (documents, media, etc.) remain in classified areas. The Senior Security Duty Officer will assist as required in the following security disciplines: Physical, Personnel, Operational (OPSEC), technical and Information (IS). Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Continuous availability to receive and implement new or additional daily orders of special instructions from the Security Manager, the Contracting Officers Technical Representative (COTR) or Security GPOC concerning imminent events, or ad hoc operation, protection and/or security of assigned areas;

  • Attend daily shift change meeting with the Security Manager and Facility Security Officer;

  • Ensuring each Security Duty Officer on duty is in uniform and briefed on the previous shifts activities;

  • Conduct roving internal and external patrols;

  • Complete Tour of Duty Reports, Incident and Infraction Reports and General Reporting outlining other statistics such as reptile captures, classified waste destroyed and medical responses;

  • Control of keys and combinations;

  • Medical Responders (training and qualified);

  • Collection of all classified trash;

  • Ad hoc duties (handling of reptiles, working knowledge of the fire alarm systems and other related duties.)

Minimum Requirements

  • TS or TS/SCI and CI Poly (US) or TSPV (AUS)

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.

  • Current Driver’s License

  • Current Senior First Aid Certification

  • Minimum of one year experience as a Security Duty Officer

  • Fluent written and verbal English skills

  • Demonstrated supervisory experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Successful applicants are required to successfully complete venomous reptiles awareness removal training.
