AECOM has an opportunity for a Human Resource Generalist 4 at our facility in Alice Springs, Australia. The Human Resource Generalist performs a broad range of administrative and HR Generalist functions, systems maintenance and integration support to all HR and Payroll functions on site.
The selected candidate will:
Interview applicants for vacant positions.
Develop position descriptions.
Maintain tracking of Personnel Change of Station (PCS) and Temporary Duty (TDY) moves, departures and arrivals and OASIS employee headcount on the manning report.
Knowledgeable in US employment law and regulations such as EEOC, FLSA, FMLA, etc.
Administer workers compensation and coordinate with HR and Safety, Health, and Environmental.
Provide Australian site HR leadership as needed to provide expert guidance, identify potential problems areas, and make recommendations on areas that need escalation.
Exhibit characteristics such as resilience, diplomacy, adaptability, and the ability to handle high pressure situations.
Provide HR guidance to the PMO for both US and Australian employees.
Maintain relevant HR records and data in accordance with record management policies and procedures and process personnel actions.
Maintain accurate data entry into various HR information systems for Australian and US workforce; maintain accurate employee data in SPEAR and coordination of Accountability exercises; request sponsorship letters and ensure the timely and correct submission of SOCOM messaging.
Perform administrative duties to support to the HR Team e.g. filing, scanning, photocopying, raising purchase requests; support recruitment activities, including but not limited to scheduling interview times, collating documentation, booking rooms, undertake reference checks; coordinate access for entry, New Employee Orientation (NEO) attendance if required and OASIS induction for new employees.
Develop training programs, travel and relocation arrangements related to HR in accordance with policies and procedures; produce ad hoc reports as required and prepare HR reporting data for PMR; and monitor and maintain the OASIS HR intranet page and content.
Assist in HRIS design and system development and enhancements.
Prepare statistical reports and summaries.
Conduct employee relations investigations as needed and prepare recommended disciplinary action documentation.
Monitor performance management process and prepare documentation necessary for compensation program.
Perform other reasonable duties as required
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and at least 5+ years of job-related experience or equivalent.
Good written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
Must be able to obtain/maintain a TS security clearance.
TS/SCI w/poly is preferred.
