The Cabling Technician is an experienced member of a multi-skilled maintenance team key to the safe and effective delivery of facilities preventative maintenance and repair across a wide array of systems and equipment. The Cabling Technician provides advanced technical support to planned and reactive maintenance actions. This support includes, but is not limited to:
Installing, maintaining and repairing cable infrastructure
Performing maintenance on existing cabling systems
Contribute to the development and implementation of systems and technological advances that contribute to quality improvements in the conduct of maintenance tasks and the collection of maintenance information.
Aid in the development and review of project briefs and Statements of Work as required. Aid in the delivery of projects and new works as required.
Review and updates drawings
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing site environmental health and safety (EHS) policies and procedures.
Work environments can be cramped and the position may be required to work at heights.
Certificate III in a Facilities Trade
Demonstrated experience in installing, maintaining, repairing, programming and updating Data and Video cable infrastructure.
Proficiency in applying best practice operations, technical and management principles.
Demonstrated initiative with the ability to identify and resolve problems.
Experience and qualifications in project management
Experience and qualifications in workplace training
