Job Summary

AECOM is providing general engineering consultancy services for Phase-I of Ahmedabad Metro Rail project. With this win, AECOM becomes the only consultant to be associated with all the metro projects in the six Indian cities of Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Ahmedabad.

As the general engineering consultant, AECOM will be working on design review, technical specifications, system integration, procurement, construction supervision, project management, tender and award of contracts, contract administration, station and depot architecture, civil and interface management and testing and commissioning of Phase.

AECOM India is seeking an experienced and proven professional for Dy. Chief Track Design & Specification Engineer for Ahmedabad Metro Project. This individual will supervise and manage a PMC team. The qualified individual will have a strong background in project management and project delivery for transportation especially Metro/Rail projects.

The responsibilities of Dy. Chief Track Design & Specification Engineer are as below:

Job Duties

  • Being part of the management team responsible for reviewing and managing design and construction of various major projects.

  • Being responsible for track alignment and track geometry for LRT, Transit, metro and High Speed rail transportation projects.

  • Developing technical specifications for track systems together with the rail systems managers.

  • Ensuring that all design and implementation activities are performed with highest safety and quality culture in mind and with the “best” industry practice.

Specific Skills Required

  • Should be a great motivator and an excellent Time Manager.

  • Have effective communication skills with good written and spoken English.

  • Have a good attention to details and correctness of all submissions.

  • Strong Leadership skill and role model requirement.

  • Relationship management and work winning skills with clients.

  • Profit and loss sensitivity is desired.

  • The role requires front end engineering and design consulting skills. It requires global client interaction as well. It is not a back office role.

Minimum Requirements

  • 20 years of experience of in Track Alignment with minimum 7 years in elevated metro projects

  • Graduate degree in Civil Engineering.

  • Expertise in the field of track alignment and should have carried out for large projects designing and technology, Supervision of Construction, testing and Commissioning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent Communication skills

  • Prior experience in similar project
