Position Title Senior Systems Engineer

AECOM has an opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer for our APG, MD Location. This role performs system-level design and configuration of products including determination of hardware, OS, and other platform specifications. Facilitates the requirements management process, serving as an intermediary between product owners and software development teams. Helps product owners to write features and develop complementary wireframes, process models, data requirements, and other engineering design documentation that clearly and precisely communicates user requirements to the developers. Apply user–centered design methodologies to conduct user research, plan interaction design, and analyze the usability for application interfaces that provide a positive user experience. Tracks and manages progress, risks, and key dependencies between solutions. Works in a collaborative, multi–disciplinary team environment, including systems engineers, developers, trainers, program managers, users, product owners, and logistics managers. Coordinates project tasking and assists in the management of the project schedule. Monitors and responds to hardware, software, and network problems.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, and 7 years of job-related experience required. Expert in Microsoft Excel and Project. Good written and oral communication skills and demonstrated supervisory skills. Position requires the ability to pass and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.
Master’s degree preferred. Experience with Army experimentation and demonstrations, preferably including Network Integration Events and Army Warfighting Experiments. Experience with Agile software development methodologies, Army interoperability certification and testing.
