Position Title Geospatial Engineer

AECOM has an opportunity for a Geospatial Engineer in our APG, MD Location. This position will be responsible for the following:
Manage development efforts and provide technical support for geospatial software & components
Develop geospatial requirements packages, CONOPS & data flows
Review technical designs for geospatial components and advise the PM on potential technical issues with the designs
Lead as PM representative in engineering discussions relating to any technical issues or design concerns
Some travel to various sites to assist with development of geospatial components
Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, geography, or similar related field and at least 5 years job-related experience or equivalent.
Position requires the ability to pass and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Master’s Degree in computer science, geography, or similar related field preferred
Expertise in 2525, open GL, KML
Knowledge of Web Map Services (WMS), Web Map Services – Tiled, Web Map Tile Service (WMTS), Tiled Map Service (TMS) & GeoPackage
Experience with geographic data formats and software
